Light-Assistance-System to support spatio-temporal orientation of elderly people
- Research work for the project Guiding Light (no AAL-2011-4-033) is funded under the European Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP). Consortium partners in this project are the University of Applied Sciences Vorarlberg (Coordinator), Tridonic GmbH & Co KG, Bartenbach Lichtlabor GmbH, myVitali AG, Institut für Sozialforschung und Demoskopie OHG and YOUSE GmbH.
The Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP) is an Article 185 initiative within the EU's Seventh Framework Programme.
The objective of the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP) is to enhance the quality of life of elderly people (ability to live independently in their own homes for a longer time and participate longer in economy as well as society) and strengthen the industrial base in Europe through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) .
The 4. call of the AAL JP has its focus on "ICT-based Solutions for Advancement of Older Persons' Mobility". The goal is to increase indoor and outdoor mobility.
